Focaccia can be associated with various types of baked goods, ranging from pizza dough to risen flatbreads. Focaccia Dolce in the Veneto region specifically refers to a type of dough that, unlike Panettone, does not rise with natural wheat sourdough but with yeast, just like a typical Focaccia. The product we offer comes from the renowned artisan bakery 'Pasticeria Fraccaro' near Venice, with a baking tradition dating back to 1932.
Our "Focaccia Dolce Antica," weighing 750g, is baked in a traditional round papillote, allowing it to rise high and have exceptional fluffiness. Additionally, the dough is hung upside down immediately after baking to cool, ensuring that its characteristic dome does not collapse under its own weight. Before baking, the top is covered with a sprinkle of candied almonds. It is moist, fluffy, and heavenly fragrant. The whole package is presented in a sturdy cardboard box, making it an elegant gift.
